What is That?

What in the world is that?  It's a firewood holder.  I built two of these.  They are side by side in the firewood house.

The original firewood house had a bunch of untreated wood and was getting ready to fall down.

The firewood shelves are 2X4s laid on edge and separated by 2X4 width.  This allows bark and chips and sawdust to drop to the ground.  Just an idea that I had.  I built one of these for my mom when she lived in North Carolina.  I then built the one that we've had in the backyard, shown above, about 10 years ago.

The new firewood house was a canoe rack but the canoes went to the scout troop.  I put a roof on it and now it's the firewood house.

Christmas Tree Van

Not such a great slide scan.  I tried AutoCorrect but it didn't help much.  I don't have PhotoShop or things like that.

Would you drive or ride around in something like that?  It was Ford Econoline Van.  Had the engine up between the two front seats.  Was owned by the Honeywell Corporation and they painted it.  I suppose that the colors were company colors.  Our neighbors called it the Christmas Tree Van.  I believe that's Big Meadows in the Shenandoah National Park.  Fun times.

How to Eat a Sloppy Woody

Woody's is coming to Sharpes.  Or maybe it's Canaveral Groves.  Or Frontenac.  Anyway, just north of Cocoa on US-1 a new Woody's is arising from the ruins of the old Corky Belle's.

One of the southern BBQ things that I like is the sloppy sandwich.  It's a bunch of BBQ meat slapped on a bun.  Yep, that's it.  Sauce already applied.  Here is how you eat it.  Order it with some coleslaw.  Open the bun, spread the sloppy Woody around both buns, put the coleslaw on top and consume.

Only Woodys and Ken's BBQ in Live Oak have a good sloppy sandwich.

Cabinets!!

Ikea Lixtorp Cabinets.  From 150 boxes in the garage to cabinets on the wall.  The architect/designer/engineer/contractor has been very busy.

but I've been lazy and busy at the same time.  New job, new stuff going on.

Let's see.  I finished the soffitts.  Did a bunch of other stuff.  Then started on the kitchen.  My architect/designer/contractor has been very busy.
